ATLANTIS PLASTICS APPOINTS NEW SENIOR
VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

ATLANTA, GA - (March 15, 2001) Atlantis Plastics, Inc. (ASE:AGH) today announced the appointment of Keith R. Boehringer as Senior Vice President of Operations for the Films Business. Boehringer will be directly responsible for all manufacturing operations within the Films Business in terms of cost, quality and on-time service plus purchasing.

For the past 25 years, Boehringer has held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, R & D, plant management and senior management at Mobil, Tenneco and most recently as Director of Operations for the Polyethylene Business of Pactiv. Mr. Boehringer holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Newark College of Engineering.
